Ignita Learning was founded by Sarah Toft, an experienced teacher and educational leader with a passion for supporting teaching assistants. Born from years of classroom practice and resource design, Ignita Learning exists to give TAs the practical tools and confidence they need to make a real difference in maths learning.

Our Founding Story

Ignita Learning began with a simple idea: that teaching assistants deserve the same support, training and high-quality resources as teachers. After years of working in the classroom, delivering training and in resource development, I saw first-hand how TAs were expected to play a huge role in children’s maths learning often without appropriate training or tools to match their responsibility.

Too many times, I watched talented and dedicated support staff feel unsure, underprepared or undervalued. That didn’t sit right with me. I wanted to change it. So, I started Ignita Learning to create something different: practical, research-informed resources and CPD designed especially for support staff.

Ignita Learning exists to shine a light on the vital work of TAs and to provide the tools that help you make the biggest difference, every single day.

Support at the Core

We believe teaching assistants deserve to feel supported as much as they support others.

That’s why everything we create is designed with your role in mind - practical tools, guidance and encouragement that help you feel confident, impactful and valued.
